Double wedding ring table runner

The Double Wedding Ring quilt pattern has long been a symbol of love and romance with its interlocking rings symbolising love and harmony in a marriage. 

The design has a rich historical tradition going back as far as the 15th century when couples each wore a ‘Gimmal Ring’ during their engagement. These were then interlocked during the wedding ceremony and worn by the new wife. 

This table runner has been designed and made by me for a wedding gift as a modern representation of a quilt. It contains 153 individual pieces of ‘Liberty Lawn’ chosen with you in mind, backed with quilting cotton and filled with a thermal wadding to protect your table from hot dishes.  Please wash by hand using a mild detergent and dry flat. To preserve the colours it is advisable to keep out of direct sunlight.
